today, my apartment-mate, anastasia, from russia, finally got adequate heating in her room. one less stress. we determined that we are in the right rooms as well, which was in some question... a big relief for sure as i am quite settled.
the danish language instruction has been entertaining so far, to say the least. my class represents nearly all faces of this world, including italy, france, germany, albania, serbia, australia, poland, canada, lithuania, california, brazil, etc., etc...
to pronounce a word on a page requires a complete reversal of initial thought. the first substantial lesson i have learned is to just accept, not question, when it comes to dansk. searching out trends or systems, as i tend to do, is in a word, worthless.
the city is thriving and beautiful, with everlasting ancient detail and modern edge. i'm not sure if i will ever tire of my exploration.
the danes are beautiful. reserved yet kind. luminescent.
